Sitting in a monument dealer's showroom can be an overwhelming experience. Star Granite Company wants to make that experience more comforting by introducing you to the basic monument options and terminology in this tutorial. In the comfort of your home, you can navigate through this tutorial and get a general idea as to what questions we may ask when you visit our showroom. We encourage you to take notes on what you like and dislike as you view sample images. We can work with you to fine tune your design and create a beautiful memorial.

Please remember that all material presented in this tutorial represents the most common monument options selected by customers. If you have an idea that is not presented in the next few pages, please let us know. We will do our best to fill your order no matter how unique.

The following pages will walk you through seven design decisions that must be made when creating a monument. The last page will display a set of monuments that feature various options presented in this tutorial.
